I'm actually using torrent version to get it, since first two links are giving me very slow speed (under 10kBs form Majorgeeks). Th torrent gives me an estimated time under 30 minutes, going at ~200kBs
Update: the torrent reached 600kBs, and my download is done.

I just finished installation.

It hasn't been made available through MS Updates yet. This is the RTM (release to manufactures) version.

Service Pack 3 for Windows XP is finished, but not yet generally available. Chris Keroack, Release Manager for Windows XP Service Pack 3, announced at Microsoft TechNet that the last service pack for Vista's predecessor has been released to manufacturing (RTM). This means SP3 is available to key customers with bulk licenses and Microsoft's OEM partners; MSDN and TechNet subscribers should be able to download the service pack directly starting next month. The general public will have access to Windows XP Service Pack 3 starting on April 29, when it will simultaneously be available as a package from Microsoft's Download Center and via Windows Update. Keroack says that SP3 will be an automatic update for Windows installations used at home starting "in early summer".

wow. when you click on that link it takes you to a page that doesn't say anything about sp3. But if you click on the Top subscriber downloads, it's right there. Why must we always have to play the maze game with microsoft?

It was released to the public today. Will probably begin rolling out in auto updates at midnight (or whenever they release them) for everyone.

Service packs don't install any programs...

I still use MS paint often but Paint.NET is much better and free.
