2 identical dell computers one has a problem
    « on: April 24, 2008, 03:38:35 PM »
    Hi

I have 2 identical dell demension desktop they both are registered to napster
when I plug my sansa e250 mp3 into one the computer recognizes the new hardware but in the device manager it says no drivers are loaded and it isn't
    seen by napster

If I plugged it in the other dell it works perfectly I have installed and removed
microsoft  media transfer porting kit  a couple of times but no help

I contacted sansa support first they directed me to  microsoft mtp kit
and then they said my usb port is bad I have other devices that have no
trouble with the same port (joystick and digital camera )
I plugged  it into a different usb in the back but again no luck
does anybody have a clue how I can fix this it is a hassle trying to get
my girls off their computer so I can download music

    thanks

Are you running Vista or xp? Are the same devices attached to both computers ie. printers etc?

Try unplugging the hp4180 and see what happens.

Should have added restart after unpluging.
