    Cpu usage
    « on: April 26, 2008, 01:34:45 PM »
I have been experiencing this problem lately, when I do anything on my computer and I check my cpu usage it is all over the board. At differnet time when I check my cpu percentage it is at 100% and stays there until I shut down the program and stop what I am doing. Rarely does it go to 100% but when It does it drives me crazy. When the cpu is at 100% it takes a while to even open a simple program. I am using windows xp home edition.

Firefox with 39,100 k. The problem is at various times the computer runs at 100 percent or it cant not make its mind on a specific percentage of cpu to use so it changes drastically from 100 to 50 to 20 to 60 in a way that doesnt make sense. Like there is a virus or something. Also the cpu graph sometimes for no reason is crazy like i said.

This doesn't matter. Look under CPU column.

Then, it's perfectly normal. System Idle Process is a part of CPU, which is NOT in use.
