Just discovered it last night.
I haven't been using CDs for a while, and I wasn't aware something happened. Everything points to SP1.
Any program, which deals with CDs got screwed. Strangely enough, playing video DVD was left in tact.
This is what happened:
- PowerISO - freezes itself, and a computer, while starting
- Magic ISO - same
- Roxio - same
- Winamp - same
- CDBurnerXP - same
- CloneCD - same
- VLC Player - refuses to play CDs, plays DVDs OK
Closing all of the above programs (except VLC), takes several Task Manager attempts, and when I try to restart computer, shutting it down, either takes for ever, or requires using power button.

All the above issues got resolved, by simply reinstalling all programs over the top.

However, one issue remains - autorun doesn't work.
I employed all known to me tricks:
- checked autoplay registry entries - OK
- deleted upper-, lowerfilters (apparently SP1 reinstalled them)
- checked Autoplay setting in Control Panel
- uninstalled DVD burner
- uninstalled IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers
- tried M$ "autoplay fix" - won't run
NO DICE. It won't work.

If anyone has one more trick in a sleeve, I'd like to know.
