      1.  Windows XP SP2 should be built on the hardware (target system) it is to run on.  Attempts to move the hard disk drive to another system to boot are generally not successful.

      2.  Has the Windows XP SP2 installation CD ever been successfully used on this computer?  Is it a legitimate Microsoft Windows XP SP2 Retail CD?  OEM CD?  Something else?

      3.  Tap F8 key about once per second or faster as you power up the system.  Windows Advanced Options Menu should display.
o  Select "Disable automatic restart on system failure" to force display of Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).  Record and "post" the exact contents of the BSOD.  Internet searches on exact text and numbers from this message may identify the problem/solution.
o  Can you boot to Safe Mode?

      4.  What is "SMPS"?

        Switching-Mode Power Supply Design =SMPS

According to Wipedia:  SMPS can be classified into four types according to the input and output waveforms, as follows.

AC in, DC out: rectifier, off-line converter input stage.
DC in, DC out: voltage converter, or current converter, or DC to DC converter
AC in, AC out: frequency changer, cycloconverter
DC in, AC out: inverter  ;D
