I have a 20 mbit/second connection, and it would take me about 1 hour 20 minutes to download 10 Gb from a server well connected to my ISP's backbone.
Most ordinary broadband connections are slower, e.g. a 2 Mbit connection would take about 13 hours.
But you have to get it up on the server and most high speed connections are assymetrical. My upload speed is 768 Mbit /sec. At this rate it would take about 30 hours to upload.
A fedex parcel with 3 DVD-Rs might be as fast.
Your own ISP will be the people to ask about any data caps they impose.
