USB port use causing freezing

Every time I use my USB port for anything(eg PDA or printer) when I am using the net - the net freezes. Can I stop this happening, so I can still use the USB port while I am on the net?

Have  you tried updating your USB port drivers? Also, have you tried running a Windows Update by going to http://www.microsoft.com ?
