« on: February 06, 2005, 03:22:29 PM »
hi. last time i had issue with mah hdd that got bad sectors.. bought the new seagate 80 gb baracudda.. and transfered all mah datas from that hdd to this.. by running two at a time... am informing this because maybe this could relate to my problem anyhow.. and then aftr installing a fresh copy of windows on mah hdd its everything slow while you run open anything... even into minimise... formatted mah hdd installed back in... same... Did scandisk Thorough same... and defragmenter... nothing has changed.. eventhough they dont say that there is any error on drive... What am i going to do now? and what it should be?
infact i have tried scanning for that but no virus or spywares....

Is your computer able to handle such a large hard-drive,does it have s.m.a.r.t. which limits large drive from being used.really makes it run very slow when booting and stuff

Zolxy........Well ...I have read and reread you first post and your detailed explanation of your system.......
I see that you have a Intel Celeron 550mhz CPU and 64 mb of ram (pc 100?) and currently are using a 80gb hard drive ........ What I still dont know and you havent answered is ......
1.....Do you have 2 hard drives installed ?

2.....Is the new hard drive (80gb) the same size and similar specs to the one that was in the pc before the issue started .

3.....It would be nice to know what your MOBO is ......all you have told us is that it has an Intel chipset in it .....

        Let us know
