    how to block a program from further execution?

    hi friends,

    is there any way to disable an application(media player, ms word...etc) from further access.

    here is windows xp sp1

    Can you be more specific?

    Do you want to completely remove the program or just stop people from opening it?

        Either uninstall the programs, password your entire system, or download some sort of software that locks executables.

        Or... if you could be more specific as to what it is you're doing, we might be able to help you better. What programs? Who exactly are you trying to keep off? If it's someone who uses the computer regularly, you could create their own user account. There are lots of way to do what you want to do, but it all depends on what exactly you're trying to accomplish.
