    freezing problems
    « on: May 31, 2008, 10:53:22 AM »
I'm Using an AMD 6000+ on an Asus M2n-Mx Se Plus mobo, 2gb OCZ Ram, 160gb SATA HDD, XFX GeForce 8500 GT 512 ddr2 PCIe video card, 450 watt power supply. Any game i run freezes for about 5-10 seconds every minute or so. i've ruled out the RAM and the Video Card. any thoughts??

Check your game settings...and disable anti-aliasing.  See if this corrects the problem.

What exactly have you done to rule out RAM and the video card?

Specifically what games are you having this problem with? What games do you play? ("all games" doesn't help much)

I suspect the card...it'll be interesting to see how exactly it was ruled out as a suspect.

On-board video won't make games run better, rather opposite.
                Did you check computer temperatures?

It also will not eliminate the possibility of a card going bad either...
