    U S B PROBELMS

      :-[   I am trying to set up skype with my mic and web cam, but when I plug my cam into my usb my pc shuts down.
    it also does it to my scanner so I leave it unpluged. But when I plug my gamming joystick into the same usb port it works fine also my nokia n95 gauge when transfering photos by usb.Can not figure this one out drivers look all ok in the device manager and updated them,it could not find one better then the one I have anyone have same probelms,  Thanks Cheers Wayne.

    What Operating System?

    Have you tried downloading the driver from the WebCam Manufacturers website?

      Yes I have tried that thanks, but since I have downloaded windows service pack 3 the web cam seems to work . Thanks for your help cheers wayne.

      I have absolutely no clue why Service Pack 3 would cure this issue............

          Not really service pack 3 has certain problems, expect something to mite happen as a result.
