    new build beeping

    hi
    I just put together my first computer, I have tried to start it up, the fans come on the lights
    but it beeps 4 times and the monitor has no signal.
    i used a intel classic dg313 pr board
    intel duo e2180 processor
    350 w power supply
    wd 160gb 3.5 sata 7200 rpm
    msoem vista home basic
    corsair 2x1gb xms2 ddr2-800 cas
    samsoem sam 20x dvdrw sata no s
    thermalta m9 mid tower

    i have triple check my connections
     :(

    Can you describe the beeps?  Short?  Long?

    Have you looked here:  http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

    Sounds like it's hardware related, but we'll have to narrow it down.

    Onboard video...or video card attached?
