    Device Manager
    « on: June 19, 2008, 10:17:57 AM »
Operating system is WinXp Pro SP2

I am having a problem with my Device Manager refreshing constantly.  It is very hard to select an item to view.  Has this happened to anyone and is there a simple fix, I hope!

    Thanks!

Can you explain this in more detail?  What items change?  And, what kind of changes are you seeing?

When selecting Device Manager under System Properties, the whole display of all my devices just keeps refreshing.  This is about the only way that I can describe the situation.
The whole window display refreshes at about 2 second intervals.  I have attached the contents in my Device Manager.

Well, you didn't directly answer these questions.  I surmise the answer is that the items displayed don't change.  Is that right?

So, the problem is a blinking or flickering of the screen?  Is that it?

Any other video problems?  Is Device Manager the only screen where you're experiencing display problems?

Correct, the items display do not change.

The problem is blinking of just the Device Manager window(screen).  I do not have any other video problems.

          Yes, it does.

I am going to run another virus scan and see what happens.

          Thanks!

I don't think, this is an infection problem. Try unplugging all unnecessary USB devices.

            Thanks!

I have no more blinking Device Manager.  Appreciate all the help.  It is nice to learn something new about these computers.

            Have a good one!
