    Software button at wrong place
    « on: June 27, 2008, 01:46:07 PM »

    Hello people...

I need some help here. I don't know how can i explain this. This software works on my other computer but on my laptop, the icons/buttons are at the wrong place. I've attached the image. You can see how it looks like.

Thanks in advance for the people who are willing to help. I will really appreciate that. Thank you again.

Im running on Windows XP Home edition. The problem is the push-button. I think the buttons are too big... I can't reduce or adjust the window. What I don't understand is other computers are ok.

       ???

I've tried everything. Reinstall etc. Because I've got 2 similar acer laptop, and two same system, both are original windows. Both have the same problem. But when i use it on my desktop, it works fine, and my uncle's laptop, it works fine as well.

        Pretty weird.
I assume, it affects just this particular program?
Can you think of any significant difference between desktop, and laptops setups?
        What about screen resolution?

I tried the screen resolution already, adjust the Graphic setting. The setting is no different with my desktop. Probably the system im using or maybe not. I also expect because of my windows theme. But i never edited it, i just use the original one. I even updated my shockwave, flash and java just in case. but still no luck.

Unless I wake up tomorrow morning with some fresh idea, there is not even a hint of any solution in my head.

            Are you awake yet?  ;D

How new is the program? It might be compatable with just Vista or an OS before XP.

There are 2 versions for this software. the old and the latest one. the latest one maybe updated around this year. Same problem also if i use the older version. I don't think its because of the software. maybe this home xp system cause it like that.

Service pack 3. The latest update. I've attached another image, it should look like this.

I believe this may be related to the font size setting in Display... Display->Appearance Tab, Font Size Setting. Are they the same for both computers?

Also, Judging from the screenshots, only the incorrect display has a title-bar.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

                  Hi BC,

Still not solved. i tried every font, still the same. and about the titile bar, i've purposely cut it on the correct image to reduce the file size. it doesn't matter. but still, its unsolved.

I did, he even gave me the fixed one. but still the same. I did ask help from my friend as well, but he said, there is nothings wrong with the software actually. He said my laptop may require other software to run it, he can;t get his fingers on. Java... flash... macromedia... DirectX... what else?

Anyone could solve this will be A LEGEND!  ;D

Safe mode... No luck. and I've tried to change the screen resolution from small to bigger but same. Anyway my screen resolution is 1280x800. I guess my laptop does not really catch the image from the software.

What about .NET updates? Is there a difference among the computers? Does the program require .NET to run?

Im not sure if the program needs .NET software. My .NET framework is up to date. I guess that is the first thing that i did when i found out the problem.
