    Toshiba satelite 1800-750 startup problem!

    since my Toshiba laptop satelite 1800-750 HDD failed,the laptop has being experiencing Startup problem.I Changed the HDD,after a lot of trials,it started,and i was able to format it and install OS(win XP).But for the past 3 days the laptop has not been able to startup again.When i press the switch botton,the power indicator lights up ,but nothing shows up on the screen(i.e a blank screen).Am confused,can any one help me out..!

    Can you boot from the Windows CD?

      the laptop does not show anything on the screen,and it is starting up to give u the option to boot from cd.I want to know the problem why it is not starting up..That is my concern for now..

      You say the indicator lights come on but the screen remains blank.
      Does anything else come on? (The Fans, HD, ect...)
