    automatic updates turning of automatically

    Windows XP automatic updates is turning off automatically. I get a message, please turn automatic updates on manually. I do so, and it changes for a few seconds, then turns off again. No viruses.  ???

      dowload hijackthis program from here http://download.hijackthis.eu/HJTInstall.exe and run.

      post logs back to here.

        Thanks for the intended help.

        I installed Microsoft LiveCare and it found a trojan and removed the problem.
