    Continuous Rebooting Loop
    « on: July 06, 2008, 08:59:34 PM »
    Hi Folks
Am running XP Home ed. on a HP 750N. Several seconds after pushing start button I get a single beep, then HP Logo and then Windows logo, screen goes dark and I see hour glass.  drives light alternates between green/yellow.    Appears to be booting up normally.
Problem is that it seems to shut down before startup is complete and automatically begins to reboot.  This becomes a continual loop, i.e. shutdown/reboot.
I tried F8, and get safe mode screen which times out in " windows will start normally".  The up/DOwn KEYS WON'T WORK.

    Any help much appreciated, thanks

Are you a victim of XP's SP3 for HP machines using AMD chip?
