Matching speakers to high end sound card
    « on: July 07, 2008, 02:24:35 PM »
I need some suggestions for a pair of desktop speakers (no subwoofer) to match with a high end sound card.

The usb digital to analog output having 112 db dynamic range, signal-noise ratio of 112db and total harmonic distortion of 0.0015.

I will have my own version of 4.0 sound with the usb sound interface having 1/4" outlets to send signal to the stereo amp to power a pair of passive speakers.  The interface has another outlet with a 1/8" stereo plug for a pair of desk top speaker.

For the desktop speakers I want mid - high range sound.

I have listened to the Creative Labs T-20 but it sounded flat and not much in the high frequency range.  The Bose Companion 2 sounded good but I would still like a stronger upper range.
