    Computer suddenly goes off
    « on: July 08, 2008, 07:22:04 PM »
I am using Window XP, SP2. Today while I was working the computer suddenly goes off and reboot. It happens three times today. Will this affects the computer and how can I stop it from happening again.

Can you remember/find out the exact BSOD message (at least the top line)

Also, does this happen in Safe Mode?

The message on the Blue Screen.

        Also, one more question.
During the reboots, are you doing anything in particular?

Oh I didn't get the message on the blue screen.

No. I just wait until the logon screen appears. Why, should I do anything?

I meant before it reboots. What prompted the Blue Screen?

I guess this message came up when you started the computer?
              Did you let it check?

Napacus, please stop coming into people's topics like that.

                    I suggest you run Chkdsk

Go to My Computer and Right Click your Hard Disk.
                    Go to Properties.
Under Error-Checking, click Check Now and use the third option.
