My girlfriend has a problem with Vista, i must start by saying, ""and i'm sure i'll get some abuse for this :-) "" but i own a Mac so i am completely useless when comes to Pc's so i can't help her out,, so please be kind and think of her not me ha ha :-)
basically she's having trouble logging in, all of a sudden it's stopped accepting her password, tried the basic stuff checking caps lock, maybe a sticky key etc but no good, she also mentioned she had tried putting in a usb key/dongle or something like that, which should have contained her password but that didn't work either,,,,, the only slight glitch before this all happened was that she got some kind of error message saying that "a devise attached to the computer was not functioning properly" this is not exactly what was said but we can't remember the finer details now, sorry to be vague!!! There are no external devices attached to the machine so not sure what this means or if it just means something inside the machine,,,,,,,Wi fi card etc!!! Then i think the battery went on the laptop or she had just shut down in the meantime and when she restarted she had the log in problem,,,,,
Is there any way of getting onto the pc in some kind of administrator mode and changing the password or resetting it maybe?? Or is it just a job for someone at PC world???
Any help would be much appreciated :-)
