Secondary ide has question mark in device manager
« on: July 14, 2008, 02:08:53 PM »
Hi

I uninstalled my secondary ide because I was having problems with my DVD drive. I didn't think it would be a problem since I have seen the same advice given out by Patio to someone else. Problem now is i have a yellow question mark for the secondary ide device. How do i correct this? Thanks!

Go into Device Manage / right-click the secondary drive / choose uninstall / reboot / check DM after reboot.

Not sure why Windows didn't fix this as it usually does 95% of the time but you could do no harm by re-installing your MBoard drivers...

Are you sure the cable is snug both at the MBoard and drive connector ? ?
Try another cable for a coupla bucks if all else fails.

If everything listed here does not produce joy joy then there may be a problem with the MBoard...
