  i have had to change my power supply from 350w to 400w is it safe to run my computer
i had to change it as it died no power at all and could not get a 350w any place
be for i do try it is there any other thing i have to do

A power supply with more juice will not harm your system.
The rating is the amount of power it can supply, the more the better - it won't damage anything as long as you connect it up properly.

thank you glad to know i can do some things right and not waste £20 on new power supply
