    « on: July 23, 2008, 05:22:27 AM »
Hey there. A friend of mine recently restarted her computer 'cuz her computer froze.
After the restart she started playing songs and noticed that the sound now was polyphonic. ,
I have no clue why this would happen and seek professional guidance from you guys:)

And I have never heard of a sound virus :p so,

"Polyphonic - 1.   consisting of many voices or sounds.
      2.   Music.
      a.   having two or more voices or parts, each with an independent melody, but all harmonizing; contrapuntal (opposed to homophonic).
      b.   pertaining to music of this kind.
      c.   capable of producing more than one tone at a time, as an organ or a harp.
      3.   Phonetics. having more than one phonetic value, as the letter s, that is voiced (z) in nose and unvoiced (s) in salt."

Could you be a bit more descriptive of the problem? Is Axel Axl Rose singing duets with himself? :)

If you don't have time to do it right
...when will you have time to do it over?

Have you tried a different set of speakers?
What happened right before the computer froze?
