Scanner power cable...

Hello everyone - firstly, I apologise for being an idiot & hope that I’ve come to the right place!

Some time ago, I was given a Relisys Mercury 3600 Scanner & have just decided to use it.  However, it appears I'm missing the power cable!

I've Googled my eyes out trying to find the name of the type of cable I need without success - that's where I'm hoping you come in!

The socket on the back of the scanner is small & round with a single pin inside.  I’m assuming that the cable would have a female connector for that & a mains plug at the other end.

I don’t know the name of that type of connection/plug, so can someone please tell me exactly what to ask for?

Sounds like you need a power adapter that plugs into the wall and has a plug on the other end to mate with the scanner. Two issues, then: The adapter must mate to the scanner and the adapter must be rated to supply enough power to safely operate the scanner. Check the scanner for power consumption data and look for an adapter that AT LEAST provides those specs.

Don't know what country you're from so will leave you to Google to search for an adapter.

btw, I ran across a link for www.relisys.com but it didn't come up for me. You may want to check there to see if you can find the exact adapter for your scanner. Also, if you get the adapter, be sure to download and install a proper driver for your operating system.

The link didn't work for me either - I've a feeling that while I was Googling, I thought I saw that Relisys (at least this arm of it) may have been wound up. (?)
