    OK. Let's try something else.
Get VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/, and see, if you can play videos.

Ok, any of the videos work when I play them in VLC. Thank you for that. :)

      HOWEVER

They DO NOT WORK IN ANY OTHER MEDIA PLAYER (such as Media Player Classic or Windows Media Player). There's always an error message!

And when I open any files in any WINDOWS EXPLORER FILE, the computer always goes haywire, and there's always a message saying that "Windows Explorer has experienced an error and needs to shut down" etc, etc.

      HOWEVER,

When I open any video file (ON VLC) ON THE DESKTOP, there is no problem!

*censored* is happened to my computer??? :(

As for Windows players, it looks like you have some codecs missing.
      Get this: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/XP_Codec_Pack.htm

As for Windows Explorer error, go Start>Run, type in:
      sfc /scannow
      Click OK.
      Have Windows CD handy.

        You can borrow one.
Sooner, or later everyone needs Windows CD.

OK, I've done the whole "sfc /scannow".

The whole "please wait while Windows checks" etc, etc, has been finished. It's taken nearly 1.5 hours. BUT NOTHING'S HAPPENED. It just finished! I waited so long for NOTHING???

But on the other hand, there are no more errors whenever I play videos on WMP or Media Player Classic. Thanks to your recommendation of downloading that codec thingy.  :)

But whenever I click on a video file, there's this pop up asking whether or not I want to use ffdshow or something like that...

SFC doesn't tell you what it did...it just does it's job and sneaks away quietly...
