Did you notice - the date code is on the @#$%&^% INSIDE of the tire. Good post but I'm lazy and don't want to crawl around under the car! I need to get the tires balanced and rotated in Aug - I'll ask COSTCO to check the dates. I bought the tires there and am willing to bet that the dates are okay. I may be naive, but I trust COSTCO.

Anyways,
My dads tires are not aligned correctly... its really weird... also, his breaks catch.
So, when your driving, the steering wheel is tilted, and you have rather unpleasant stops... great for preventing an accident.

My dads truck is even worse. It has the worst gas mileage if you vary your speeds, and when you brake, the truck starts to go to the right...
Fun to drive. (Actually, I really like driving that truck... its easy to drive.)

On his car and truck? They are perfectly fine.
The alignment is something he has tried to fix three times, that's one thing he doesn't do himself.
He brought it to two different shops, none could get it right, so, he stopped trying.
Makes for an interesting ride.

Didnt see this mentioned but if you take a penny an place it in the treds an be able to see lincons face your treads are worren.

Yep, the distance from the edge (of the penny) to the top of Lincoln's head is about the minimum acceptable tread depth.

What do dimes do?

They used a quarter in the video Broni showed us.

Min tread depth is 2/32" in most states and, I think, in much of Europe (≈1.6 mm).

Old tyres last longer, I have a friend who stores them for a couple of years before fitting them to his car.

The only problem is you cant straight out chuck them, not that we work in the garage. But we have some sitting around, the worse part is when my mom burned them.

I finally checked my tires today. Luckily, all numbers were on the outside, so I didn't have to crawl underneath.
Two rear tires are from 2001, but two front tires are form 2007, so I should be OK

I didnt check mine, hated to take them off in case. But I should have checked the spare. I did check my liquid levels.

I dont think I have to worry since my where changed a while ago. My sister let the psi get low in one an it ended up blowing it. She had to get me four new ones. Its a subaru.
