I am running Windows XP sp2.
I have been trying to eradicate a Virtumonde virus for the past couple of days with my pc reacting normally except for some annoying popups.
On trying to login this morning I find that the pc boots up normally but when it gets to the welcome screen and I click the daisy the pc goes through the routine of loading/logging off/saving/my setting.
I have tried booting in safe mode and all the options but when it reaches the welcome screen it goes through . the load/logoff/saving routine again. I am the administrator and there is no password. Is there anyway short of reinstaling that I can logon?
