Computer help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm on another computer now.  It seems to have different problems than the other 2 I have so I'm making a new post!

First of all, it is a home built pc
windows xp home sp2

256 shared Ram

32mb ramm video card (unknown type)

1.56ghz amd athlon cpu

it is going really slow but i've checked everything and it all seems to be not horrible.

You should run the SAS and MBAM scans, but I don't think this is a malware issue.  I would suggest going through the computer and removing any programs that aren't necessary.  You should also Defrag, use Disk Cleanup, and CCleaner to clear up some space.  Although you meet the minimum requirements, your computer is a bit lacking in the hardware department, so it can only handle so much junk.

I've done all of that many times and I know that I need to upgrade it but my grandma doesn't use it so she just won't bother with it.

Well, there isn't much else that can be done here.  And if the computer isn't being used, I don't see much point in bothering with it.

well, my grandmas brother and everyone else in my family are trying to get her to use it.  I am going to upgrade it to either 1 gb or 512.

1gb would be best also scan for what type on http://www.crucial.com/

follow this.
go to desktop>rightclick my computer then go to properties>Advaced>on the performance click settings>Advanced now go to virtual memory and click change>increase size on the ''max size'' and click set>ok.
NOTE
this will reduce space on your harddisk.
