HELP~!...Hz ?

Hello Every one I need help pls...Im a newbie in this forum... I have a problem with my monitor...
The problem is when I open my computer just when the windows is starting and showing its desktop, the monitor suddenly shutsoff and has a message og
--->  Hz? <-----
what is Hz? I think it is hertz... It Blinks in the monitor... Then my monitor wont open again and restarts...
I can only use the safe mode... It start when I used safe mode but when I use the windows start normally it just blackout and says Hz?
Im using Windows XP here... Pls anyone help me...
I dont think my monitor has a problem....
I try to change the setting in the display in the safe mode but I cant...
It says that the monitor's default is on....

Can you try another monitor?

Try the current monitor on another computer?

I think that will solve my problem but... Im thinking to solve it in the system.....
My monitor works properly I think it has something to do with the refresh rate of the monitor... Or I think in the display properties of the monitor...But I cant manipulate the setting in the safe mode... I dont think it is a virus either....
I always shut my monitor several hours while my cpu is working...

We dont have Extra Monitor....

i concur, i believe your current refresh rate is unsupported by your monitor.

just a quick question, has your monitor ever worked with your computer? did it just suddenly stop working or did you get new hardware? if you did get new hardware, please give us the details.

  yes! I can't manipulate the setting of my monitor in the safe mode... It says in the display in the setting tab...that (default monitor on) I use my monitors for years now...I dont install or put a new hardware in my computer...Thanks for the effort answers anyway I appreciated it...
