An offensive image keeps loading on start up..

Hello,

This is not because of a virus or malicious foreign program.  This image I thought came with Windows XP Pro but a techie just denied that.  See what I mean:



I was told that disgruntled programmer photoshopped a picture of his *censored* into that image and by the time Microsoft found out it was too late.  That story I never forgot and so after all these years I just want the image off of my computer.  Can anyone tell me how to replace that image with another one?

This image comes up with all Windows XP Pro software to the best of my knowledge.  It has been there since I first brought the computer home.  It is there on every computer with XP Pro isn't it?  It is not malware.  The image stays on only for a couple of seconds as the computer boots up just like every computer with Windows XP.

Hit Delete when you see the picture to enter setup & you will be able to turn it off in there.

yeah i agree, you really have to squint @ it to make it look like a *censored*. plus i really dont think that the programmer would risk his career by photoshoping his *censored* on the front of xp pro... if going through the bios doesnt work, i would just back up all my files and reinstall windows. after alittle while all os's tend to run alittle slower any way.

You should note that not all XP's have this image. I think it depends on the manufacturer  of the computer.

Is this a legitimate install of XP we're discussing here or a copy of XP ? ?
