NumLock Icon has moved
« on: August 05, 2008, 02:56:09 PM »
The computer that I use at work runs on Windows 98. Today it needed to start in Safe Mode. When it restarted and was working properly, the icon for Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock had moved form the bottom right hand corner to the centre of the screen and is always on top. This means that all the work I do (and the games I play) has the icon tray in the way. I would like to move it back to the corner. Can anyone help me, a novice to computer tinkering?

The system tray is in the bottom-right corner and it typically doesn't have anything to do with NumLock, so I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to.  Can you take a screenshot for us?  Just press Print Screen (or PrntScrn) on the keyboard, open Pain, press Ctrl+V, save it as a JPG (on the Save As screen, select JPEG from the Save as type list), and attach the file to your next post.  If you need more detailed instructions feel free to ask.

Also...have you tried clicking on this icon tray and dragging it elsewhere?
