Virtumonde Virus Detected, Please Help!!
« on: August 08, 2008, 03:59:52 PM »
I believe I still have the Virtumonde Virus on my computer after numerous tries to remove it.  I have used VundoFix, VirtumondoBeGone, and Spybot.  I am running Avast! as my anti-virus and yesterday it picked up more random dll's after both VundoFix and VirtumondoBeGone said no virus was found.  First time I ran VundoFix it detected it, was in the process of getting rid of it and it froze so I had to reboot.  When I ran it again it said no virus was found and then I ran Spybot and it detected it again and I started getting random dll's.  I downloaded HighjackThis and I have attached the log file here.  Please help!!! :-\

I can see from your HJT log that you do indeed still have Vundo, so go ahead post the MBAM and SAS logs requested in that above link.

And while you're at it, download ComboFix and save it to your desktop.  Run the program and read its disclaimer (it's fairly short) and make sure you really pay attention to what it says.  Follow the prompts and when finished, it will produce a log at C:\ComboFix.txt.  Go ahead and post that here.  Note: Don't click on the window while it's running; this may cause stalls.

yesterday my Pc started to hang up ( icons and start/menu bar dissapeared for 3 seconds and appeared back again. it stays calm for 5 seconds and hangs up again).after all I run Spybot Search&Destroy and it found Virtumode.dll trojan in my PC. As I followed instructions from computer forums I tried VundoFix & VirtumondoBeGone and this didn't help much. I tried Combofix and now my pc doesn't hang up anymore. Thanks CBMatt !!!
