    What about Safe Mode?

When you turn on the computer, keep pressing F8. A menu should come up.
Choose the Safe Mode option and then the Operating System.
A bunch of code should appear and then freeze. Wait for a few minutes.

Post back if you can access Safe Mode.
If not, well, post back anyways.  ;)  ;)

Any ideas what your kids were doing? That might help.

no the computer and my laptop came with pre loaded windows programs with the serial tags stuck on the machines and i thought of  doing a boot disk but my 4 year old autistic daughter  stuffed my laptops cd drive up so that ruled that out should i buy a one as i dont have anyone to borrow one from would that fix the problem to reload windows on it

Ok. Which computer isn't working? The Laptop or the Desktop?

Also, which computer had the broken CD Drive?
