    Deleting Temporary Internet Files
    « on: August 15, 2008, 01:20:06 PM »
Hi, I want to be able to delete the temporary internet files everytime I close the browser and we have the "empty temporary internet files folder when browser is closed" checked  in Internet Options. It does not work. Has anyone else run into this problem? I have tried this on a couple of machines and I am running IE 6. Thanks for any help you can give.

How To Use: CCleaner /AUTO /SHUTDOWN

Install and configure CCleaner correctly then use the Auto Shutdown.

Download CCleaner Slim and save it to your Desktop.
When the file has been saved, go to your Desktop and double-click on ccsetupxxx_slim.exe
Follow the prompts to install the program.
    Complete the installation then:

    • Double-click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
    • Click on the Options block on the left, then choose Cookies.
      • Under Cookies to Delete, highlight any cookies you would like to retain permanently
      • Click the right arrow > to move them to the Cookies to Keep window.
    • Go into Options > Advanced uncheck Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours
    • Click Cleaner on the left then Run Cleaner on the right to run the program.
    • Important: Make sure that ALL browser windows are closed before selecting Run Cleaner
    • Caution: It is not recommended that you use the 'Registry' feature unless you are very familiar with the registry.
    • Exit CCleaner after it has completed its process.

Thank you. Its a good tool and I plan to use it. Any chance of you knowing how to deploy and run it automatically in a 2500 machine network? We use Microsoft SMS here but not sure how we would run it automatically, we can install it with no problem. Thanks

I'm sure that would be a question for the developers. http://forum.piriform.com/
