MS Word 2007 & 2003 clashing?

I have a Vista notebook which came with the trial version of 2007 Word but it ran out after 60 days so i uninstalled 2007 and installed 2003, but apparently, 2007 hadn't been uninstalled so now i have both on my computer but neither working properly. When i tried to uninstall either of them, my computer wouldn't do it. Something about corrupted files or something??

Any help would be awesome. I have the CD for 2003 Word so it doesn't matter if i have to completely remove all components of Word, it's just that i have no idea how to do that without probably removing something else as well, which would be my luck

I'm not a complete computer noob but i haven't got any technical knowledge of anything (more like I've been fiddling around with the settings so much that i know some things). If you give me steps, i can easily follow them. Thanks XD

Do you get any error message/number when uninstalling?

OK, so when i go to Control Panel and to the uninstall/change a program window, there are multiple things with 2007 on them, one of which is "2007 Microsoft Office System" and when i try to uninstall this, it comes up with a "setup error" saying "the language of this installation package is not supported by your system"

...i have no idea what on earth it's talking about??

Well, see there are 2 things with 2007 in the title but i don't know how to get rid of them or if there is something else i need to get rid of that i don't see...

Sorry, I missed them.

Try downloading CCleaner. Once installed and running, click the tools tab on the left. From here you can uninstall programs also.

I think you should run a registry sweep first (with CCleaner).

In the Registry Section of CCleaner, scan a few times and then remove all entries. (it will prompt you to back up the registry, do it).
Repeat these steps 2 or 3 times, then do as Kpac suggested.

EDIT: When i try to uninstall it in CCleaner, it comes up with the same message as i said before. Should i delete the entries?

No do not just delete entries.... This will not uninstall the program.

Aah.... I'm not sure what else you can do....

OK, well i just tried reinstalling 2003 and it seems to be working...so i just won't touch anything with 2007 in it. Thanks anyway guys!!

I never had the CD in the first place. My laptop came with a trial 60 day version already installed which was almost run out of time and kept asking me to buy it and so i decided to just use the 2003 full version that i have, but then it got stuffed up...etc.
