Firefox add-on - Thumbnail Expander
« on: August 16, 2008, 10:19:03 PM »
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6023

With Thumbnail Expander, you no longer have to constantly use the back button when viewing a thumbnailed gallery. Instead, simply hover your mouse over a thumbnail to see the full image, and move your mouse away to have the full image disappear. Check out the other preview images for an example of this.

Thumbnail Expander also works with video links. Click on the link and have the video show up in the current page, and click the hide link to have it disappear.

Note that many, but not all, websites work with Thumbnail Expander. If your favorite site doesn't work, right click on the magnifying glass icon in the bottom-right of Firefox, and "Suggest this page".

Hmm, it doesn't work for me either. I suspect, it may be skin issue, because when I hover the mouse over the image, it says "Cursor over the image".
I'll try default skin later.

This is why i think products should have a full review before being posted here...
I think this is happening far too frequently lately as people want to be the first to list something here but it hasn't been tried fully...

Thanks for posting. It's not a theme. I switched to default theme, and it didn't work either.
Must be some other add-on, conflicting.
The interesting is, that video preview works, but not image preview.
Will investigate.

Thumbnail Expander

Thumbnail Expander is a Firefox extension that temporarily displays the large version of images when you hover over thumbnails. With it, there's no need to constantly leave the current page to see full images. Check out each image quickly and easily, then move your mouse away when you're done. Try mousing over the thumbnails below to see how it works:
example image 1 example image 2

Thumbnail Expander works on dozens of sites, from Google Image Search to Wikipedia to Facebook, and also works with video links like YouTube and Google Video.

You must be right. I think, I expected too much from this add-on. I just checked Wikipedia, and it works there, so it looks like it just works on SOME sites.

You can right click that magnifying glass down on the bottom right side of your screen ::) and it will let you suggest  a page for future page support
