They rarely are.

Its usually just a good idea to say "too good to be true" and walk away.

I'm not familiar with this particular site, but there are some places, you can either make some money, or earn points, and convert them to merchandise.
For instance, I've been using http://www.mypoints.com/ for some years. It takes time to collect enough points, but I was able to collect enough to "buy" iPod Shuffle, which couple of years ago was worth over $100.
Another project, I participate is Nichols Research: https://secure.nicholsresearch.com/participate/register/
Once in a while, they send you an email, or call you, and if you qualify for given survey, you go some place for an hour, or two, and you can make $40-$50/hour.
My son, use to participate in some games testing, and he made pretty good money there. Not too often, though.

You can ask one of your parents to sign up for MyPoints, then you're gonna be doing all clicking.

Tell them, that I use it. They may freely look at my profile, or email me, if they wish.
All, you need to do is to talk to them.

Mow lawns or sell lemonade.

But since we're on the topic...in the last year, I have made over $300 from SurveySpot (my checks range from $20 to $60) and have received several Amazon gift cards from Valued Opinions.  I also get money sent directly to my PayPal account through OpinionPlace (I believe it's for AOL members only).  It's not a lot, but it's nice to have that little bit of extra pocket money.

Most of the survey sites on that list should be legit.  However, you have to pay attention to the wording.  Many of them don't actually pay money; instead, they enter you in sweepstakes to give you a chance to win money.  The more points you have, the higher your chances are.  As for the sites that actually do pay money...only some of the surveys are worth money.  You have to pay attention to know which survey is going to give you $3 and which one is going to give you nothing.  And they only pay if you qualify.  Every survey will have several opening questions and if you don't fit a certain kind of demographic, they end the survey and you don't get paid.  These surveyors know little about business statistics, and they only want to hear responses from very specific people.

In the event that you actually make any money by making it to the end of a survey, keep in mind that it will usually be nearly 2 months before you see that money.  It takes at least a month to process, and then a couple of weeks to be mailed to you (you have to request the check manually).  Also, most survey sites have a minimum withdrawl requirement.  SurveySpot requires you to have $5 in your account before you can request a check.  One site I joined requires you to have $50.

So, a lot of these sites do indeed work and it takes so little effort, but it can often be hard to find anything that actually gives you money.  Out of curiosity...even if you did join one of these sites and started to make some money, do you have a way to cash the checks?

Well, if not, you can always give them to me.  I'd be happy to keep them safe...
