Plesae help! cant log in either normal or safe mode...

I'm desperate to know what going on with my PC. I don't know what happened with it, he last time I used it everything is fine. Today when I try to log in, it start logging me off right away. I cant even get in using the safe mode. I want know how to fix it or is ther any way to fix this..Please help me. My PC is E-machine with window XP.. Thanks in Advance...

How far do you get in the boot-up process?  Can you actually get to the boot options screen?
Does anything show up at all as you are booting your computer?
Do you hear any beeps?  If so, can you describe them?
Have you made any hardware or software changes to your computer recently?
And how old is this computer?  eMachines are known for using substandard parts and don't have a very long lifespan.

My PC is almost 3 years old and I'm the only one using it.  I remember I updated my the XP program because it keeps popping that it needed to be updated. I also download some of my scrap booking files that day. My virus protection has expired few week ago an I have not updated it. There is no beep sound when I log in expect for the normal Microsoft start up sound. It takes my to the usual logging screen that I usually place my password to log in. But every time I log in, it logs me off right away by it self. I try the safe mode and it do the same thing. Evrything is normal when I start my PC except I cannot log in at all..

Okay, so the computer does boot up, it just won't let you login.  Gotcha.

Instead of Safe Mode, have you tried using Last Known Good Configuration?  What happens?
Also, do you have an original Windows CD?

I have not tired anything else other than trying the safe mode because i know nothing about it. Plus I'm scared that I might do something wrong that might cause more problem. Yeah I still have the original Window CD.

It shouldn't cause any problems.  You can enter this mode the same way you enter Safe Mode.  But instead of selecting Safe Mode, select Last Known Good Configuration.  Let us know if there are any changes.

You might also be able to repair windows using the CD's repair function. That might be something you want to try. But first of all, try the Last Known Good Configuration and see how that goes

Yes, this is one thing we will want to eventually try, but because lizapep isn't very familiar with the technical aspects of computers, we should try to take this one step at a time.

Guys I tired the last configuration mode this morning but it didnt help at all. It still knocks me off right away.. Everything is still the same.. Is there any other way?

First, let's see if you can get into the Recovery Console.  Insert your Windows CD and follow the instructions on this page, under the heading How to use the Recovery Console:

You can ignore step 5 for now.  I just want to see if you can gain access.  If not, then a repair install may be in order, unless you have any tech-savvy friends who could help slave your drive for you...

I bought my PC with Window XP on it already. Before my PC act up like this I recently updated the XP becuse there's a notice that it keep popping up saying that my it needed to be updated. I just click update and it restart my PC. The problem I was not able to get in anymore. I'm to scraed to used the system recovery CD because I might loss all of my impotant photos..

this is a desktop? Do you have a second computer handy? If you did, I would just take your important hard drive and use second computer to save all the photos off it and then put the hard drive back to main computer to continue with fixing it.

that's only if you had a second computer on hand.

Guys thansk you so much for the help..Anway i was able to fix my PC "thanks to you all!!".. I have one more question though.. I was able to save all of my photos to my external hard drive and used System Recovery CD and delete evrything on my PC..My question is why my PC is running a bit slow and fronze at times "especailly last night"..Is ther anything you can advice me to fix this issue?
