Well, I'm not an expert when it comes to this particular area, but it definitely sounds like a problem with the modem and/or cable. If you can connect perfectly elsewhere and your folks aren't having any trouble, then it doesn't make sense for the problem to be with your computer or the ISP. But like I said, I'm not an expert. Having little personal experience with networking, my knowledge only extends so far. If you'd like, you can try taking this problem over to the
