for the last two who posted...... do both of you have Vista or XP? and also what is your antivirus? 

XP SP3 and Avast AV.

It may be that you both didnt ask to recieve emails from them, but I opted to have them sent to me. 

I always opt out of emails.

Then that is probably the problem that I have Trend Micro since it seems after updating webroot, trend wouldnt full load, just would say "loading trend micro antivirus...." on toolbar icon, and never loads.  I guess I will have to let Webroot know.  If you hear anything about this problem, let me know.  For now, im not updating webroot

CBMatt.............What is wrong with the Webroot Spysweeper application as I respect your opinion.

There isn't really anything wrong with it.  It has decent protection.  Not the best, but enough for most average users.  I just don't like it very much because I feel like it uses too many resources, and I can't understand paying for software when there's a free alternative.
