Problem with optical drive

While ripping a cd on my laptop, there was a loud buzzing noise like the disc was out of balance. The disc stopped playing, and now I can't get it to eject. I think the disc is wedged between the door and the interior of the drive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

On the CD Drive, there should be a small hole. Get a paper clip and put it into that hole and push it in (you have to use force). This is the manual CD Release.

Thanks for the info. I tried the paper clip method, but the disc was wedged in the drive and wouldn't move. After inspecting the bottom of the computer I found the mounting screw for the drive. After removing this the entire drive slid out and I was able to retrieve the disc.

Did the disc blow up in the drive?

No, it jumped of the spindle and was loose inside the computer.
