Strange connection problem
« on: August 29, 2008, 08:35:17 PM »
I have a toshiba qosmio g35 laptop. i recently moved back into my dorm and have been having conection problems. I'm the only person in my apt with this problem.  It seems that it will work randomly for 2 or 3 minutes when connecteed by an ethernet cable, I can't currently connect to a wireless network where i am located. However, when I get to the student center I am able to use the wireless internet. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this problem. is there a possible internet setting change? is this a sign of a broken ethernet port?

First, I would try plugging the cable into another port on the Router, maybe change the cable while you're at it.

That's the same as Right Clicking the Connection Icon and clicking Repair.
