My Window goes on"Non selected mode"
    « on: September 08, 2008, 09:59:27 AM »
Hi My name is Drake 8)   ......

Sometimes when I am writing, my window will go on some hibernation  mode.

Where then I will have to select the screen with my mouse again. Its not triggered by typing
but it does stop me from getting anything in.

If I am watching a video in full screen it will cause it to go back to the regular screen page.

To describe it.Its a lot like when you maximize a small window in front of another and the back window goes light.

    I'm using fireFox btw...thnx  :)

    Try and disable Hibernation:

Go to Start --> Settings --> Control Panel.
    Select the Power Options Icon
    Click on the Hibernation icon
    Uncheck Enable Hibernation
    OK

      sorry it didnt work.

The best way to describe it is that my windows, Rather im offline or online
is getting interrupted by some unknown source and is causing it to go temporarily off
until I use my mouse to click the window again.

It randomly does it at anytime. The blue tab on my top browser gets bright until I click the screen.

I forgot to mention that it makes a digital clicking sound when it happens.

Hmmmm.....Do you suspect malware? (a virus)

Any recent changes? (downloads, installs, hardware changes?)

      When did it start?

Have you check to see if the Screen saver is off?

Im guessing its a malware from one of those scam virus protectors.I had it removed
with my symantec virus remover.I also got rid of the registry key like a website advised me to.
The icon use to appear at the bottom right of my screen but no more.

So im wondering why its still causing havoc.

The "virus protector" was called antivirus xp 2008

its been known for being a scam virus protector.

I never found its files in my task manager or certain places that this website also advised me
to remove. My virus protector doesn't find anything when I run a full scan.
