Are Both Drives SATA?
Indeed.
Anyhow, you may need to do some adjusting in your BIOS. If you don't know how to do that, people here can help.
Also, we're a little short on info. Which drives work...when?
Maybe you could name your drives A & B and then give us information about how they work.
For example, if A is the drive you already had, and B is the new one:
A works now.
A works when I install B, but B doesn't work.
B is not recognized at all. It's like I never installed it.
See, that would give us some decent info.
Also, if B is recognized but not usable:
Have you formatted the new drive? All new hard drives need to be formatted before use.
