I use iTunes because of my iPod - it's the best free program I can find that interfaces with my iPod, and I occasionally download songs from the iTunes store.

Honestly- I've never used iTunes. But judging from Apples other software offerings (quicktime)... I can only say, "No thanks".

Also I don't have and never plan to get an Ipod. my 4GB Sony Walkman works fine for me.

Well, I do like my iPod, it's got some nice features that make it the best mp3 player around. I have the 80GB iPod Classic, which allows me to play videos, view pictures, that sort of thing. I've got about 1000 songs on it, and that's way less than some people I know.

I just wish it was more durable. It's covered in scratches and it's got some nasty software glitches going on. I'm going to end up buying another one and transferring all my songs over. Which is gonna suck, the Classic is far from cheap. Oh well, I'm gonna spend thousands next summer on a nice new Supa-PC, so this won't be too bad a thing anyway. </justification> ;)

Well- I don't have an iPod because I never could think of a good feature of the thing to justify it's higher price, Aside from size. I "only" have a little over one thousand songs. I probably couldn't fit them all onto my walkman, but I can fit my favourites and my funnysongs playlists, so I'm covered.

Also- one incident that locked me out fro using iPods for a while- I of course know people that have them- and we were comparing them- we agreed that in order to justify a purchase of one, you'd need a lot of music. Anyway, at some point we dropped each of our players- Call it luck, but they pick theirs up- Screen was busted. Mine was perfectly fine.

I use WMP10.  The less installation the better IMO.  Can't stand v11, and also don't like the versions below 10.
Also VLC for files that WMP can't handle by default, and PowerDVD for DVDs.

You know what, I'm moving this to Off Topic, it's languished long enough in Forum Games.

      Me neither, I don't like WMP11.

      However, I quite like WMP9.

I don't like Realplayer either.  Added XBMC just to see if anyone has it.  Found it today, haven't tried it yet, but looks good.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_media_players

Dude, XBMC is the best media player/center EVER.  Anybody that doesn't have it needs to spend the $50 bucks to get a used xbox on ebay, softmod it and install XBMC.  You will not be sorry.

iTunes needs to be cast into an abysmal bottomless pit along with all of Mac's iProducts, like the iMac, the iPhone. Although, I don't exactly like the idea of this new Microsoft Sync in automobiles either. Who wants Microsoft or Mac anything built into there car as an un-removable product? That's like, the fast food industry telling you all to eat one thing or starve.

Let's start a petition. Also include iPod, iBook, iFrame, iLamp, iMicrowave, iVacuum, iRack, and iRan.  ;D
