Hi I hope someone can help me!
I get the following error message when I start my pc:

    "stop 0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x89cd5a98, 0xc0000102, 0x00000000)"

    What does it mean?

Does it happen every time you start up?

    When did it start?

Any recent changes? (downloads, installs, hardware changes, ect...)

Can you get into Windows via Safe Mode

Hi thanks for replying, I made no changes before this happened, the pc went into hibernation mode and crashed.  After that I was able to access windows but no programs would load and i would get lots of error messages before bsod.  Since then everytime i start my pc i get the bsod.
I cannot get into safe mode.

      Hibernation = Bad.

Do you have the Windows XP CD?

If so, perform a Repair Install:

Not recovery discs, the Operating System CD. (Windows XP CD)

The recovery discs from Dell will restore your computer to the state when you first turned it on.

Actually, I just though of something.

Unplug the computer and then open the case.
Remove all the RAM and try turning the computer on with one RAM Stick at a time.

You mean the memory sticks?  If so I replaced them after I got the bsod, to make sure it wasn't the memory that was causing the problem.
            sorry im a noob...

Not possible to borrow off a friend.
When I start PC it asks me if I want it to run in normal mode or safe mode etc etc...clicking on any of these takes me to the BSOD.
              No other error message.

What about Last Known Working State or something like that? Is that an option?

Not sure what else there is to do (right now).

Try removing the CMOS battery (on the motherboard) for about 20 minutes and then put it back in.
If that doesn't work, unplug all accessories except the keyboard and mouse, go into the computer again and unplug everything but replug it as soon as you unplug it.
(For example, unplug hard drive, then re-plug it. Unplug Video Card and then replug it)
                Then try to boot computer.
