    « on: September 08, 2008, 05:05:35 PM »
ok so i boot windows xp and it keeps rebooting im good up until i have to fix the problem with the windows repair after i push R i dont get a administrator password thing all i get is a command prompt and when i try to type
    COPY X:\i386\NTLDR C\:
    COPY X:\i386\NTDETECT.COM C:\
where X is the drive letter for my CD drive.
it says files cannot be found or something similar.
and i was also wondering if i typed enter after each one or not i've tried both ways but still says files are missing HELP!!

    Welcome to the CH forums.

The information you have provided is not detailed enough to really help you.  Are you using the Recovery Console?  Please post the exact entries you are entering at the Command Prompt and the exact error messages which are displayed.
