    Lexmark Printer Help
    « on: August 31, 2008, 08:15:48 PM »
ok i just changed printers to my old one since the last one was older and sh*t on me but now every single time i print a dvd cover (WITH NEWER INSTALLED APPS) it always cuts the one of the ends off and either doesnt print it at all or prints a the rest quarter inch on a 2nd page lol. and it obviously has something to do with the margins but i dont know where to edit any of those other than in word and notepad. and yes ive tried the standard paper setting as well as A4 now. im just mainly doing all this for normal dvd front/back/spine covers and wii ones as well.
just needing some help fixing this *censored* irratating error ... thanks.

ps. my printer is a Lexmark X1240

also i just installed most apps and the printer on my fresh formated laptop and it still did the same things. can someone Please help.

Warning:  this is more of a guess than an informed answer.

Since you have newer installed apps, I wonder if you have the most up to date printer driver installed for the Lexmark?

      As in, mechanical problem??   ???

(Now is not the time to be imprecise.)

Have you tried to run the printer through a self test?

This may seem like a silly question but if you are using pre-formatted paper for cd/dvd and cases do you have the paper turned the right way? I am asking because some of those type papers must be turned correctly to get proper alignment. I have found this out thru experience myself.

Did it all work before you installed the "newer" applications?

well i was using a older brother printer here till mine got driven out here recently and when i was using it before i only printed documents and nothing else. but that all worked fine. im thinking it got internally damaged on the drive out here.
