how to delete google history

dear all

I have internet  explorer 8
now when I start to enter a url a box appears underneath and attached to tpying in box listing either my google history, internet history or favourites.

it doesn't delete when I delete internet history from either tools/delete browsing history or tools/internet options/delete with forms ticked etc

and I've installed and ran this internet cleaner http://www.privacyeraser.com/free-internet-eraser.html and old searches from way back still appear !

how please can I delete this stuff and why has internet 8 made it so hard to delete - why doesn't delete browsing history do what it says

sorry should have said I am using VISTA with my internet explorer 8

and I've just followed the advice on this link http://browsers.about.com/od/internetexplorertutorials/ss/ie8privatedata_7.htm
which says click the safety tab where I get the same internet delete option as before

again - nothing is really deleteed

try using ccleaner and see if that helps you. Ccleaner is a good sofware, also recommended by many people in the computerhope forums.

Are you sure it's not google search suggestions your seeing ? ?
This can be turned off in your google preferences...

yea patio's right. often when you start typing in a search box, be it google or youtube, the search box will automatically produce search suggestions. These aren't your history, but related searches provided by google. :p

I simply use ccleaner to accomplish that.
god download it. its free and lightweight.
