    External Hard drive
    « on: September 20, 2008, 11:30:21 PM »
I had recently purchased a 250 GB external harddrive, I want to copy my existing files to that.  I face a problem of time delay in copying the files my existing harddisk to this external drive.  eg., 700 mb of  rar file which is in my F: drive  when I extracted in the same directory it took 1 min to do whereas the same process it took 20 mins when I copied it from F: drive to G: drive ( external drive).  can any one explain me why this delay & how to recify it.

So extracting the Archives took 1 minute on your Home Drive but it took 20 minutes on the External Drive?

It is probably because it is an External USB Drive.
There really isn't much we can do about it.
